I decided to start this blog about working in the library as a creative outlet, and to both exercise and document my interests and abilities in various areas, including but not limited to: customer service, reader's advisory, reference, and programming.
Since I currently work in youth services and outreach, most of this will focus on middle-grade and teen literature and services, but I will probably occasionally include book reviews on books for adults, especially if I think they might appeal to teens as well. I also have another blog specifically about storytime and picture books, Adventures In Storytime.
While my original purpose for this blog is to serve as a professional portfolio of sorts, I hope others out there may find it helpful or entertaining. If you visit, I'd love to get some comments or have a discussion about any library-related topics.
